IFMA is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers, supporting more than 19,500 members in 60 countries. The association’s members manage more than 37 billion square feet of property and annually purchase more than $100 billion in products and services. Formed in 1980, IFMA certifies facility managers, conducts research, provides educational programs and recognizes facility management certificate programs. We serve the Upstate of South Carolina, Northeast Georgia, and Western North Carolina. Our chapter membership includes over 40 facility professionals and vendors from the Upstate South Carolina area. We provide essential networking opportunities for workplace professionals and many avenues for professional and personal development through regular educational meetings, social functions, and community activities. Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in various locations around the area. These meetings are normally held at the lunch hour (11:30 AM) and conclude by 1:00 PM and usually feature a guest speaker whose expertise is in a field of interest to today's facility professionals. Occasionally, the meetings are centered on a tour of a facility of interest to the membership. Recent tours have included Timken (Clemson ICAR Campus, Hubbell Lighting Headquarters, and Milliken Headquarters Campus. Other chapter benefits include: ·Networking with area peers |
